About the studio

Blush + Blume began in a converted carriage house in the Marigny, with a pair of garden shears, a single phone, and a list of growers we'd been visiting for years.

We'd spent the previous decade working in fashion and editorial — long enough to know what a well-styled photograph looks like, and to be a little bored of the sameness of it. Florals were a way to make something that changed every week, that wouldn't keep, that had to be designed for one specific day and then let go.

We've never tried to be the biggest studio in the city. We take a small number of weddings each year — usually between 18 and 24 — so that every couple gets our full attention from the first sketch to the morning-of setup. Every arrangement is built by us, in our space, by our hands. We don't outsource. We don't franchise. We don't do last-minute rush orders.

What we do is: listen carefully, source locally when we can, design in close conversation, and show up on your wedding morning with the flowers you asked for and a few you didn't know you needed.
